A LITTLE BIT OF IRELAND

What is as rare As a day in Ireland

Amid Macgillycuddy peaks

Roaming through the Kingdom of Kerry

Walks could magically turn into weeks.

The mountains of Mourne in County Down

Bid my soul to relax and rest;

Those great green mountain ridges

Are like divine bridges Between my soul and God.

What is so rare As a day in Ireland

Leprecauns flitting everywhere;

While wearing the green, true happiness seen —

A St.Pat’s Day Salute to Ireland rare.
