A BIRTHDAY HOLIDAY EPIPHANY

Henry Van Dyke: "Life needn't loose its Zest;

The roads last turn, may be the very Best!"

Does a Birthday count as a Holiday? If so, I may want to skip a few!

Here's my 70th Year Reflection —A BIRTHDAY EPIPHANY

My life is like a candle burning

The fire of Faith is the flame;

Let it be a bright light to others

To journey in Jesus' sovereign name.

I feel like Van Dyke who said:

—"Age needn't lose life's Zest;

Because the road's last turn—

May suddenly be my very best."

Yesterday is a memory milestone

Buried deep within my heart;

Each new day I fill new pages

Prayerfully doing my part.

These are times that test our faith

As we are Heaven bound—

But Faith is our Foundation and

We stand strong on solid ground.

Although I'm not yet an Octarian

(A mere 70 years thus far)

I know Joy is not found in things

It's in knowing god—whose we are.

One thing I do ask of the Lord

For this Epiphany I pray;

To gaze on God's face eternally

Dwelling in His house all my days.
