RUDYARD KIPLING IS MY CHILDHOOD WRITER HERO

IF(WITH HONOR TO RUDYARD KIPLING 1865-1935)

If

You can keep your head

When all about you are losing theirs

IF

You can keep your eternal perspective

And sound moral fiber

While others are selling out

And tossing theirs away

IF

You can keep on being Patriotic

To your land of birth and promise

While elected officials in Washington

Continue to refuse to accept their responsibility

And what's more—blame it on others

IF

You can watch the things you've

Given your whole life for—broken

And stoop to rebuild them with your

Tired and worn-thin tools

IF

You can force your Heart and soul and sinew

To HOLD ON when you feel just like a fool

IF

You can still pray God Bless America

And honor the great battles OLD Glory has won

Yours is the Earth–and all that's in it

And what's more–you'll be a man, my Son.
